My endeavour is to differentiate my and others experiences / beliefs as much as I can, from this ‘presentation’ so that they do not veil your own way of perceiving them. I intend to keep my words brief, and simple, as IT is Divinely simple, hence the website name “Divine Simplicity”.
It is not my intention to offend those who already have a relationship with the numbers of the Tzolkin, the awareness shared can only expand any current knowing. My intention is to present this chart of numbers in a way that following IT may make sense for every body, including those who have never heard of or seen the Tzolkin. Order, symbolised by the numbers of the Tzolkin, is Universal. The way in which It is followed may differ,(see also attunement) although order is order and it exists, independent of place or people, everywhere and nowhere in every moment. (More on order below)

What is this chart of numbers called the Tzolkin?
The Tzolkin is a chart of 260 numbers, 20 rows & 13 columns & 4 colours, that is currently associated with the Maya and generally considered to be related to their calendar systems. Maya" is a modern collective term for the peoples of the historical region called Mesoamerica. The order of the Tzolkin is still followed by several Maya communities.
The numbers are referred to as KIN numbers or Day signs, each having a unique energy and are followed one per day, 1 to 260, and then the cycle repeats, 1 to 260 endlessly. Often names or symbols vary amongst the various groups, relative to their culture, although the order is the same 1 - 260.
In combination with another cyclical order, referred to as the Haab, a solar year is spaced out into 18 groups of 20 numbers plus an addition 5 days. This way of following is know as The Long Count. It can and is followed by many people including the Maya.

In 1987 a universal application of the Tzolkin was introduced. It is often referred to as the 13:20 Dreamspell and is followed by people around the globe.
It is based on the same Tzolkin - a chart of 260 numbers, 20 rows & 13 columns & 4 colours.
(I will refer to the green squares later, for now consider each entire row as a single colour.)
The numbers are also referred to as KIN numbers each having a unique energy comprised of 3 aspects. (Consider the phrase ‘next of kin’ or ‘kinship group’…. Order is universal.) Each has an archetypal glyph (1-20), a tone (1-13) & a colour (red, white, blue, yellow). The words used to describe these (archetypal) energies are more generic in nature, which allows for a broader or more culturally widespread following.
One kin per day, day after day, and over the course of a solar year spaced out into 13 groups of 28 numbers plus an additional day. This way is often referred to as the 13 moon dreamspell calendar.

Both are valid, neither more superior to the other.
They both are founded on the Tzolkin.
One more specific to the Maya culture and its’ many cultural deities and gods, the other less culturally specific, with its universal archetypal energies.

My words and way of following the Tzolkin are to a greater extent influenced by the Dreamspell count as that is how I was first introduced to the Tzolkin. There are a few differences…for example I refer to;
the archetypal glyphs / deities as FUNCTIONS,
the tones as EXPRESSIONS
and the colours as LOCATION, ….often interchanging black and blue.

Many cultures, past and present, have a more intimate relationship with the colour black. Following the Tzolkin is about developing a relationship with it so follow in a way relative to you. To follow another is not the same as following Order. All ancient cultures followed order, while symbols may differ slightly, the colours are constant. Several examples the Chauvet Cave in France or the Gobekli Tepe in Turkey. ( link to more examples - not yet written)

…are some of the phrases I have used to describe IT.
These numbers, that symbolise Order, are literally a living blue print for the way in which all life is formed, sustained and evolves. They exist … they are the foundation of ALL…. Including you.
Until now we have not had such a clear and universal path, that offers the potential to experience peace and harmony, without ‘fixed’ or defined meaning. Order as number has no meaning - see link) Nor have we had a physical atomic practise such as S5 with which to attune our being. ( see link for more on S5)
I may write further under the tab MY STORIES, although what is said & what is written does not count. It is our relationship with IT, our attunement to IT’s Way, that matters …. how we are BEING.
Perhaps, like me, this awareness has left you feeling speechless… and perhaps your only question is HOW??? How can I develop a relationship with this awareness… how can I BE an instrument of peace…. Beyond knowing, beyond understanding?
Academic papers, intellectual analysis, webinars or podcasts, tweets or posts are immaterial in the face of IT’s presence, It is the practise, the participatory presence with that matters. There are several suggested practises and resources to initiate and empower your own relationship with it. We are all made in this order, peace is simply attunement to IT.

Also in addition to these already, what I feel mind-blowingly exciting aspects of the awareness, is the connection to the ‘Order Above’ symbolised by the astrological wheel. This connection only reveals itself on account of the 100 ‘unseen’ numbers.

They could be also be referred to as ‘the inner numbers’, ‘the uninscribed numbers’, ‘the divine feminine numbers. How you refer to them is only symbolic of what they are. They are ORDER, they are LORE… they exist.)
Ancient cultures all looked to the skies, as a guide to follow, as a ‘path to walk’. Order / Lore was not separate to them and many people have, to relative degrees, continued to allow IT to inform their being. Civilisations have in the past literally looked up, turning to them, to guide and move, every aspect of life. Order / Lore is universal and belongs to no ‘one’ person or people, nor is there ‘one’ way of following IT. Order / Lore IS, It is Universal and everybody may follow IT, as an individual and or as a group.
We cannot know though that which we have had no experience of. Someone may tell you what hot water is like although until you feel it you will never really know, nor if someone were to describe the taste of a strawberry, you will only ever really know what it tastes like until you have eaten one.
This is the intention of this website - to share awareness + practice. A dual practise - mind & body ( see attunement )
